The Planning, Building and Development Services department supports the City of Medicine Hat’s vision to be a "Community of Choice" by providing leadership in building a safe and sustainable community. More specifically, Planning, Building and Development is responsible for formulating planning and development strategies for the City and implementing these by providing customer-friendly service to clients and ensuring that development occurs within relevant legislation.
