Periodic testing of gas meters is government regulated and is completed by Gas Utility customer service personnel. Affected customers are given an advance notice of an appointment to minimize the service interruption.

Some older homes have a service regulator indoors. These are inspected once every three years by Gas Utility staff. There is no charge to the homeowner for this service.
