Medicine Hat – On March 20, 2017, the City of Medicine Hat will begin accepting Fair Entry applications that will assist low income individuals and families to access programs and services at Crestwood Recreation Centre, Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre, Family Leisure Centre, and Senior Services.
Under Fair Entry, eligible Medicine Hat residents can receive 50% reduced rates on a variety of services, up to preset maximums annually. “This program ensures that all Medicine Hat residents have reasonable access to a range of Public Services,” says Howard Snodgrass, GM of Community Development. “It is designed to reduce financial barriers that low income families and individuals face.”
To qualify for the Fair Entry program, you must be a resident of Medicine Hat and demonstrate that your income is at or below the low income cut off (LICO) level.
Starting March 20, 2017, residents can access an application form and additional information about the program on line at www.medicinehat.ca/fairentry
or in person at the Family Leisure Centre, Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre, Strathcona Centre, City Hall or Crestwood Recreation Centre. Proof of income and residency in Medicine Hat will be required to complete the application.
