Automated Metering Project

The City of Medicine Hat's automated metering project will replace existing water, gas and electric meters in homes and businesses with modernized meters. 	Automated Meter Reading Customers' consumption information will be sent remotely to the billing system; no more regular access will be required for meter reading.
	Timely Billing Customer billing will be based on the exact consumption each month; no more estimated bills
	Stronger Infrastructure Updating the meters will strengthen the City's infrastructure, reducing losses present in the system from leaks and theft.
	Future Conservation Opportunities With more information available about consumption habits, customers will be able to make more informed choices related to their water, gas and electricity use.
