Now Hiring Continuous Improvement Analyst (Temporary)
The City of Medicine Hat, Information & Computer Services (ICS) Department is focused on promoting, enabling and leading appropriate technology solutions that are aligned with City Council goals and objectives to improve and enhance City services. They are searching for a motivated individual to take on the role of Continuous Improvement Analyst for a fulltime temporary assignment of 18 months.
Understanding and experience solving technical issues surrounding integrated enterprise systems and databases including a basic understanding of accounting principles, Human Resource and Payroll processes, asset management principles, document and records management practices and having a thorough working knowledge of computers, current technologies, and office productivity software tools, are requirements of the role.
The ideal candidate has previous experience with at least one of the following enterprise systems:
- Unit4 Business World Software or an equivalent Enterprise resource planning (ERP) system,
- Azteca Systems Cityworks or an equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Hyland OnBase or an equivalent Content Management System (CMS)
- CityView or an equivalent Permitting, Licensing and Land (PLL) system
The candidate should also possess the ability to analyze requests in order to implement steps towards an effective solution, the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing, and is skilled in documenting work flow processes and suggesting improvements as it relates to business systems. If you thrive in a team environment, work well under pressure, and have proven self-management skills for planning and prioritizing work and time management, then this is the job for you!
- Successful completion of a two (2) year diploma in technology, business, or finance or related field, from a recognized post-secondary institution;
- Two (2) years of experience in a related Business Systems/Continuous Improvement Analyst position;
- An equivalent combination of management approved training, education and experience may be considered.
