Help plan Riverside’s future
The public is invited to attend a second Riverside Neighbourhood Plan open house.
With the help of the community, an Area Redevelopment Plan is being created to guide future development in Riverside. An Area Redevelopment Plan contains a future vision for a specific community and a set of objectives upon which policies are developed. The plan is a blueprint for the far-reaching future of a neighbourhood.
Developed with ongoing community involvement, this Plan will ensure that Riverside stays a great place to live, work and enjoy leisure time. This work is particularly important given the changes occurring in the Riverside area.
The public open house will take place Thursday, July 13 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bridge Church (former Knights of Columbus Hall), 350 1st Ave NE.
An initial open house was held in March. This follow-up event will:
- Let residents know what we heard from the community.
- Advise how ideas will be used to help shape the Riverside Neighbourhood Plan as it moves forward.
- Get additional feedback
A survey will be launched at the open house as part of the consultation process. Individuals unable to attend will be able to participate online beginning Friday, July 14. The survey will be available at www.medicinehat.ca/riverside.
