TransCanada Pipelines will be participating in Field Training exercises at Echo Dale Regional Park on Thursday July 13, 2017. The overflow parking area, approximately 300 yards west of the boat launch road on the same side of the park roadway, will be used for these exercises.

During the afternoon session, wildlife deterrence training will take place including firing of propane cannons that sound like shotgun blasts. Various other animal deterrence activities such as kites, wavy men, floating scarecrows, predator effigies, predatory animal call broadcasts will also be utilized.  The day’s events will be finished by 4:30 pm.

Exercise signage will be posted in the areas and a liaison person will be available to answer any questions or concerns.

In the event the public wishes to use the boat launch area during the morning session, they will be briefed on the activities and allowed access to the water in a safe and controlled manner.
