Temporary Changes to Council Meetings Due to COVID-19
To support social distancing and mass gathering recommendations from Alberta Health, the City of Medicine Hat is implementing measures at City Council meetings to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. At this time there are no presumptive or confirmed cases of COVID -19 in Medicine Hat, these measures are a precautionary approach.
For the timing being the following will be in place for City Council meetings effective March 16, 2020:
- Social distancing will be encouraged (1 metre distance between people)
- All visitors/media must enter Chambers through the main floor entrance
- Attendance (including Council members, staff, media and community) will be limited to 50 people
- Hand sanitizing stations will be in place for attendees

The next City Council meeting is today, March 16 at 6:30 p.m.
