City Launches Information Line
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat will launch an information line for local residents on Tuesday.
As part of the City’s COVID-19 response, the telephone service will provide information to residents and help connect them to community resources.
“We want to be able to provide our community with current information about the resources and supports they need to stay healthy and well,” said Shona Dickie, Superintendent of Community Support Services with the City of Medicine Hat. “The information line, in addition to our online resources, will allow people to access information using the tools they are most comfortable with.”
The information line number is 403-529-8106. The service will be operated by City staff Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The City of Medicine Hat has also launched a webpage outlining the numerous supports and resources available in the community as part of the COVID-19 response. The list includes government agencies, cultural supports, financial assistance, grocery stores, mental health resources, and many more.
Residents are reminded that all health related enquiries should be directed to Alberta Health Services. Anyone who has health concerns or is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should complete an online COVID-19 self-assessment.
