CMH Business Innovation Grant now includes local photography for ShopHERE
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is proud to announce that the Business Innovation Grant (CMHBIG) will now include up to $1,500 for registered ShopHERE powered by Google businesses for the use of a local professional photographer and a local marketing specialist to elevate their e-commerce experience.
On July 13 APEX Alberta, Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce and Invest Medicine Hat announced their collaboration with the ShopHERE powered by Google program and their goal of getting 250 businesses online this year. This program offers businesses and artists the opportunity to build a digital presence and minimize the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for no cost.
“Our businesses must be able to expand their businesses online in order to remain competitive in today’s world,” says Mayor Ted Clugston. “We are now able to offer our businesses the support to build an e-commerce website for free and up to $1,500 to create a professional website with local photography and marketing services. We are looking to keep the grant dollars local wherever possible.”
As a registered business for the ShopHERE powered by Google program, you are eligible to receive up to $1,000 that may be used to hire a local Medicine Hat photographer to elevate the look of the products displayed on the e-commerce website. As well, businesses may be eligible for up to $500 to include the use of a local marketing firm to help guide the photo shoot and provide a promotional strategy for the newly design e-commerce website.
APEX Alberta, Medicine Hat and District Chamber of Commerce and Invest Medicine Hat will continue to support our local businesses in creating an online presence and look for ways to promote our local businesses.
