Alarm systems |
Alarm Systems Bylaw #3716 helps to reduce the number of times emergency services are dispatched to false alarms. Many systems are prone to false alarms, which prompt the immediate dispatch of police and/or fire resources. The bylaw includes information about registering alarm systems and outlines penalties for repeated false alarms. Alarm systems must be registered prior to being activated. |

Construction site fire safety plan template |
Before the start of construction, alteration or demolition, a fire safety plan must be prepared for the site and be approved by Medicine Hat Fire & Emergency Services. |
Dangerous goods |
Operators should be familiar with the dangerous goods routes and bylaw information. If you wish to deviate from the dangerous goods bylaw, a permit is required. |

Fire watch |
As an owner of a building, you are responsible for the safety of your occupants. When a fire protection system is impaired, a fire watch may be required in order to ensure safety of building occupants. |
