Assessment Detail Summary Request for Information |
This request is to be completed when an assessed person is seeking current year assessment detail reports. There will be no fee associated for this request and we will endeavor to complete your request within 7 days. While this information is being made available to assist the City of Medicine Hat taxpayers, this request is NOT a proper request under Section 299 or 300 of the Municipal Government Act. An official 299 or 300 request can be made using the appropriate forms located below. Assessment Detail Request form Owners of single-family residential properties do not need to fill out the form. Section 299 Request for Information |
If an assessed person asks to see or receive information on how the assessor prepared the assessment on that persons' own multi-family or non-residential property, they will need to complete the Section 299 Request Form. If you are requiring an Assessment Detail Summary Report, rather than a comprehensive Section 299 Report, please use the form "Assessment Detail Summary" request found above. The fee associated with this request for the 2025 tax year is $56. Owners of single-family residential properties do not need to fill out the form. Please contact the Assessment department at 403-529-8114 or email us. The municipality is not required to respond to a request for information under Section 299 when a complaint has been filed until the complaint has been heard and decided by the Assessment Review Board. MGA 299(3). |
Section 300 - Request for Information |
If an assessed person asks to see or receive a summary of the assessment of any other assessed property, other than their own, they will need to complete the Section 300 Request Form. The fee for each property requested is $56. All comparable accounts requested must be of a similar type, class and having comparable characteristics to the subject property. |
Agent Authorization |
This authorization form must be completed when an agent/representative is acting on behalf of the assessed property owner. The form allows a property manager to inform the City that they act as an agent for the owner or have appointed an agent (either individual or corporation) to act on their behalf. The form will also be used to determine who has the authority to act on behalf of a corporate owner, whether or not an outside agent has been appointed. |
