 You can access Citizen Portal from the city’s website
Go to Citizen Portal
 You can access Citizen Portal from the city’s website.
 Create your account

 Using email and password:

  • Click the ‘Sign me up!’ button at the bottom of the login screen
  • Enter your email and password (required)
  • Review and agree to the Terms and Conditions
  • Click ‘Sign me up!’

Or use an existing social media account (Twitter, Google, Facebook):

  • Click on the social media account you’d like to use.  

Note: the social media platform may ask you to verify your social media account.

 Add your address to your account

 You do not need to add an address to create or use your account.

If you choose to add your address, the portal will automatically display information related to your address such as:

  • Garbage collection schedules for your zone
  • Road closures near your address

To enter your address: 

  • Start typing your street name and wait for the dropdown to populate/appear.
  • Select your street name from the dropdown.
  • The street number field will be enabled, from which you can choose your street/house number.
  • You can then choose the unit number from the drop-down. (if applicable)
  • Click ‘Next’

If you do not want to add your address, click ‘Maybe later’

Verify your account

If you are prompted to, check the email you used to sign up to verify your account.

  • If you do not see a verification email, check your spam or junk folder.
  • Click on the link in the verification email.
  • Now you’re ready to log in to Citizen Portal!

The following steps will help you in Logging into your the myMH Portal.
Go to mhMH portal
You can access the portal on the top navigation bar from the City's website.
Enter your login credentials

Using email and password:

  • Enter the email and password you used to create your account on the login screen
  • Click ‘Login’

Or

If you created your account using an existing social media account (Twitter, Google, Facebook):

  • Click on the social media account you used to create your account
Click "Login"

The following steps will help you with the process of logging out of your myMH Portal 
Click on your profile icon
It's available on the top right corner of your myMH page 
Click on "Sign out"
You will see a sign out Link, once you click on the profile icon. Click on Sign out and this will log you out from your myMH Portal.
Add, remove or switch addresses

Make your Citizen Portal experience even better by adding your address. When you add your address, many widgets will automatically display information about city facilities and events near you, your waste and leaf collection dates, and more. Learn how to add one or more addresses to your Citizen Portal account.

Add an address 
Adding an address to your account is optional. If you add an address, many widgets will automatically display information about facilities and events near you. 
Click on your profile icon
The profile Icon is available on the Upper Right corner of your myMH Portal.  
Click on "Account" or "Add Address" 
If you Click on the "Account" link as being displayed on the pop-up, you would have to follow the step 3, as shown below. By clicking on "Add Address", you have the ability to add a new address instantly. Once you have added the address, save the changes.  
Under the "Property" tab, click "Add property" or "Add another property" 

Click on the "Property" tab, and then click on "Add another property."

Note: If you have one property added, then the system will display "add another property"

Enter the details of the property
 
Click "Save"
 

 

Remove an address

You can click on the link for "Remove property" as available under the Property tab. This will help you in removing the address of the property that you added earlier. 
Click on your profile icon (upper right corner) 
The profile icon is on the upper right hand corner of the myMH Portal page. 
Click on "Account" 
After clicking on the icon, select "Account" 
Under the "Property" tab, click "Remove property" 
  • Click on the "Property" tab
  • Click "Remove property" under the property you would like to remove
Click "Save" 
 
Switch between addresses
Switch between addresses 

The widgets on your dashboard will display information related to the address shown in the upper right corner of your dashboard, including events, road closures, and facilities.

If you have more than one address on your account, you can switch between addresses to view information about each address. 

Click "Switch property" under the address  
The "Switch Property" button is displayed under the address on the upper right corner of the myMH page. 
Click on the address you want to see content for 
You can select the address you want to see the content for 
Click "Save" 
 
Manage your notifications

There are four types of notifications for the myMH portal:

  1. (Default) App only: your notifications will only appear in the portal
  2. App + email (daily summary): receive a notification in the portal AND by email daily with a summary of notifications (updated/new information) from all widgets with this notification setting
  3. App + email (immediate): receive a notification in the portal AND by email whenever there is an update to any information on a particular widget with this setting
  4. None: you will not receive any notifications when there are changes in this widget

Follow these steps to change your notifications for each widget:
Click "View more" in a widget 

At the bottom of all widgets, you will find "+ View more" 

Click on 'Settings" 
  • The Settings button will be displayed on the right hand side of the pop-up, that appears after you click on "+ View more"
  • Current notification settings for this widget will appear under "Would you like notifications?" 
Choose the notification type from the drop-down menu 
There would be 4 options that will be displayed in the drop-down menu: None, App Only, App + Email (Immediate) and App + Email (Daily Summary).  
Click "Save" 
You can choose to return to the widget or stay in settings to make changes to more widgets (from the list on the left side of the page), 
Unsubscribe or change notification settings for all widgets

Follow these steps to change your notifications for all widgets at once: 
Click on the profile icon (top right corner) 
The profile Icon is on the right hand corner of the myMH Portal page 
Click "Account" 
Click on "Account" from the pop-up after you click on the profile icon. 
Click "Widget settings & notifications" tab 
Individual widgets are listed along the left side of the page. 
Click "All notification settings" at the top of the widget list 
"All notification settings" will be displayed on the left hand side panel on myMH Portal. 
Choose your preferred notification type from the drop-down menu 
You can choose from 4 options: None, App Only, App + Email (Immediate) and App + Email (Daily Summary) 
Click "Save" 
 

 

 

Customize your dash board

One of the best features of the myMH Portal is the ability to customize your dashboard, widget content and notification settings.

Move, remove or add widgets

You have the ability to edit the widgets that you see on your myMH screen. 
Login to myMH portal 
Content in Citizen Portal is organized in widgets. Your dashboard will come with all available widgets. You can customize your dashboard to show the widgets you want; in the order you want. 
Click on "Edit home screen" (on the upper right side of the screen) 

You can move, remove or add widgets to your dashboard.

When you're done, click "Save home screen" to save all your changes.

Please note that some widgets are set as fixed widgets by the city. The fixed widgets can be moved to a new location on your dashboard; however, you will not be able to remove these widgets from the home screen.

Move a widget to a new location 
  • Move your mouse over a widget.
  • Click and drag the widget where you want it.
  • Repeat until your widgets are in the order you’d like them.
  • If you are on a mobile device, press and drag the widgets to their new location.
Remove a widget from your dashboard 
  • Move your mouse over a widget you’d like to remove.
  • Click on the X in the upper right corner of the widget.
  • Note: you can’t remove the widget that the city has set as fixed.
Add a widget to your dashboard 
  • Click ‘Add widget’ (upper right side of screen)
  • You’ll see a list of all available widgets not currently on your dashboard. If no widgets are available, it means they are already all on your dashboard.
  • Click ‘+ Add’ beside any widgets you would like to add. They will be added at the bottom of your dashboard.
When you are done, click "Close" 
 
 
Switch to dark mode

This will display the background of myMH Portal in black colour. 
Click on the profile icon 
Click on the Profile icon in the top right corner 
Toggle "Dark mode" 
Click the toggle button to turn on dark mode 

 

Change or reset your password

Have you forgotten your password or would like to change it? You can change or reset your password using our self-serve option online. Learn how to change or reset your Citizen Portal password.

Reset your password 
You can follow these steps to reset your password or if you have forgotton your password. 
On the login screen, click "Forgot username or password" 
There will be a link available on the myMH portal login page. Click on the "Forgot username and password" link to reset your password. 
Enter the email address you used to create your myMH portal account 
Enter the email address in the pop-up window 
Click "Send" 
 
Check your email 
Check you email for a password reset link. If you don't see the email, please check your junk or spam folder. 
 
Change your password

The following steps will help you to change your password. 
Login to myMH portal 
 
Click on the profile icon 
You can click on the profile Icon as available on the top right corner of your myMH page. 
Click "Account" 
Click on the "Account" link displayed on the pop-up 
Select "Your Information" 
Click on the "Your Information" tab and click on "Change password"
Reset your password 
  • The system will display with a pop-up asking for your current password and new password
  • Your password must be 12 characters long and include three of the following elements: lowercase letter, uppercase letter, number and special character.
 
Click "Change password" 
After entering the above information click on "Change password" button 
Use the new password the next time you log into the myMH portal
