Applications for 2024 City development incentives open April 15

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat will be accepting applications for the 2024 development incentives starting this Monday, April 15 at 9 a.m.

Two separate incentive programs are launching in 2024 that will leverage the City’s existing land and infrastructure to encourage the development of additional high-density housing and enhance the vibrancy, sustainability, and livability of the City Centre area.

The 2024 development incentives include:

• City Centre Vibrancy Incentive
• Housing Infill and Redevelopment Incentive

The incentives are designed to encourage new development, redevelopment and stimulate investment in the local community, create jobs, and support targeted economic growth that would not have otherwise occurred.

“Medicine Hat Economic Development is thrilled to announce the launch of two development incentives for this year, aimed at boosting community investment,” says Selena McLean-Moore, Director, Medicine Hat Economic Development. “By offering these incentives, we aim to not only generate jobs but also to foster diversified housing development, preparing our community for future investment opportunity.”
