Big Marble Go Centre to host Family Day Fest

Medicine Hat – Big Marble Go Centre will host an array of fun, family activities from 1 to 4 p.m. on Family Day, Monday, February 20, 2023.

Admission to Family Day Fest is free, courtesy of the Big Marble Farms naming sponsorship. Please note: This year patrons will be obtaining tickets online! You can obtain your FREE ticket starting on February 13 at tixx.ca. Tickets will help our team manage resources and staffing needs efficiently.

Schedule of events:

Doors open at 12 p.m.

Swimming & Wibit Sports Aqua Track – Please note that patrons must be eight (8) or older to try the Wibit Aqua Track. Swim times are regulated to maintain capacity levels.

Patrons will be required to have a ticket for the two swim times throughout the day.

Please note: The Big Marble Go Centre Leisure Pool (wave pool, lazy river and tot pool) will be closed until at least February 22. We will open swim pool, dive tank, waterslide, and hot tub, for public use for the Family Day Fest.

  • 1:00 – 2:15 p.m.
  • 2:45 – 4:00 p.m.

Public Skating – Public skate happening at the Cenovus Arena from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. courtesy of Big Marble Farms.

The ice will be cleared at 2:15 p.m. to allow the little ones to watch the Zamboni at work! Skating will resume at 2:45 p.m.

Family Nerf Wars (SOLD OUT!) – Take aim and join the battle for our popular Nerf Wars. Blasters are supplied while supplies last. All ages welcome. Patrons will be required to have a ticket for the three NERF times throughout the day

At the admission desk, patrons are asked to select one of three playing times to guarantee your spot:

  • 1:00 – 1:50 p.m.: Family Nerf Wars #2 – Fieldhouse 2
  • 2:00 – 2:50 p.m.: Family Nerf Wars #3 – Fieldhouse 2
  • 3:00 – 3:50 p.m.: Family Nerf Wars #4 – Fieldhouse 2

The following activities occur for the duration of the event:

Inflatable Alley – Fieldhouse 1
Bounce around on inflatable obstacle courses, slides and jumping castles from Dunmore Dugout.

Tot Time – Gymnasium
Preschool aged children will have a blast exercising their gross motor muscles!

Floor Hockey – Gymnasium
Big kids and adults can show off their deeks and dangles in Quadrant 4 of the gymnasium.

Yard Games – Gymnasium

Puzzles, Games and Play Doh – Playroom

The South Country Co-op Fitness Centre on the second floor will be open for regular use.
