L&BS had initial engagement with the community regarding Brier Run. Since that time, we have compiled the input received, undertaken stakeholder engagement with City departments, school boards, etc. L&BS and Parks & Recreation have developed a concept that achieves a balance between desired design requirements and constraints related to engineering, infrastructure and similar items.
Brier Run is envisioned as a healthy active lifestyle community that encourages people to live, work and play, all within walking distance. Therefore employment, recreational and residential choices within the plan area are vital to it’s success.
“Brier Run is unique within Medicine Hat as it has all the amenities in place to create a complete community with excellent commercial, educational, recreational and occupational opportunities,” states Jane Zwicker, Sales & Marketing Officer for Land & Business Support. “We are looking forward to hearing the reactions and feedback on this community vision.”
