City accepting proposals for Family and Community Support Services grant

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is now accepting proposals for the Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) grant for 2026 and 2027. A total of $407,000 is available annually for 2026 and 2027. The application window closes Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 3 p.m.

Program proposals must focus on preventive social services that benefit residents of Medicine Hat. Applicants must be not-for-profit and must meet FCSS criteria within the application guidelines document to be considered. Priority will be given to projects that address City Council’s Strategic Priorities, or the following provincial prevention priority areas:

  • Homelessness and Housing Insecurity
  • Mental Health and Addiction
  • Employment
  • Family and Sexual Violence Across the Lifespan
  • Aging Well in Community

Two online information sessions will be held for those interested in learning more and applying for the grant:

  • Tuesday, March 11 from 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Wednesday, March 19 from 1 – 3 p.m.
