City hosting Hill Yeah! Park & Pool Party

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is excited to make a splash with a new event that serves as a community celebration of accomplishments on the South Hill.

Hill Yeah! Park & Pool Party is set for Monday, July 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hill Park & Pool.

This free, fun, family-friendly afternoon and evening event brings together neighbours, local organizations, and businesses to celebrate summer in the geographical heart of our community.

The event will celebrate the completion of two significant projects on the Hill - Division Avenue rehabilitation and Hill Pool renovations.

Division Avenue reopened to the community on June 24 after a year-long project that included pavement renewal, underground utility work, and a complete streets design to ensure roads are safer for everyone whether you are walking, biking, or driving.

The pool party portion will showcase the beautiful new upgrades to Hill Pool, which opens Saturday, June 28. The outdoor pool has long been a pillar of summer fun in Medicine Hat – not just for Southeast and Southwest Hill residents. The facility now features upgraded change room facilities, a new accessible washroom and change room, updated lobby space, new sunshades with solar panels, new perimeter fencing, deck lighting and more.

Event details

Pool area: Take a refreshing dip in the pool while enjoying a fun summer playlist with a live DJ on the pool deck, take part in the water battles zone, play pool games to win prizes, and more.

Park area: Fuel the fun with a bite at our barbecue, cool off with a snow cone and enjoy other snack options, play a variety of popular backyard party games, test out the enhanced multi-use trail along Division Avenue, and check out a variety of other exciting kids’ activities.

This high-energy local event will help kick off the summer season ahead.

We hope you’ll say Hill Yeah! and join the fun on July 14!
