Community Vegetable Gardens
Back to SearchMedicine Hat – The Parks and Recreation Department and the Medicine Hat and District Food Bank are continuing their partnership in the pilot project to provide the residents of Medicine Hat with healthy food alternatives.
The two existing flower beds that were converted in 2017 to grow vegetables for the community will be unitized the same way this year. One site is in front of the Parks and Recreation Office at 88 Kipling Street SE and the other in front of the Strathcona Centre at 1150 Fifth Street SE.
Anyone wishing to volunteer for the planting of these two gardens on May 16 starting at 11 am is encouraged to contact the Medicine Hat and District Food Bank at 403.528.4313.
