Devonian Trail Retaining Wall and Surface Restoration
Medicine Hat – Beginning the week of July 23rd and continuing through to the end of August, a portion of Devonian Trail, north of the downtown YMCA, will be closed for construction activities.
As part of Parks and Recreation’s trail maintenance and repair program, work will involve the construction of a retaining wall to widen the pathway and accommodate the installation of a handrail. This will improve safety for trail users and maintenance workers.
Access on River Road between First Street SE and Ash Avenue SE will be closed through construction, with limited access as the project nears completion. Secondary access to the YMCA is available via 2nd Street SE.
The public is advised to obey all signage in the area and to remain a safe distance from construction activities.
The Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
