Family Leisure Centre - Demo Daze
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is hosting “Demo Daze” in the Fieldhouse at the Big Marble Go Centre on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Demo Daze will feature demonstrations and information booths for some of Medicine Hat’s various sport and recreation organizations and businesses. The event provides an opportunity for the general public to try out, learn more and register for recreational opportunities within our community.
“Demo Daze aims to support and build exposure for various organizations. With all the amenities at the Big Marble Go Centre, we can offer the community a one-stop opportunity to try a variety of activities and register for them at the same time,” says Terra Petryshyn, Recreation Program Coordinator for the Parks and Recreation department. “This is our third Demo Daze, and the first we’ve tried in the spring. The Medicine Hat Sport and Event Council has partnered with us in the coordination of the event and we’re excited to see how it can evolve in order to present the best outcome for our community”.
Confirmed demonstrations include softball, basketball, lawn bowling, cheerleading, gymnastics, swing dancing, soccer, tai chi, track and field, and more. Some organizations will offer demonstrations only, while others will invite visitors to jump in and try the activity. Visit www.medicinehat.ca/demodaze for details and demonstration schedules.
Each organization will have an information/registration booth in the fieldhouse at the Big Marble Go Centre for the duration of the event.
