Kinplex Arena Slab to be Replaced This Summer
Back to SearchMedicine Hat – The ice surface floor slab, arena boards and ceiling inside the Kinplex have exceeded life expectancy will be replaced over the summer months. Work is expected to begin during the first week of June.
The concrete slab and boards have deteriorated over time, causing damage to the in-slab piping. Replacement of the existing infrastructure at this time will ensure the arena is fully operational for the user groups by the fall.
Events scheduled in the Kinplex during the summer months will be accommodated at other facilities in the community.
The project is expected to be completed by August 31, 2019.
