Leinweber Park anticipated to reopen in July

Medicine Hat – Maintenance at Leinweber Park is progressing as scheduled with City staff anticipating public access be restored in early July.

The Leinweber Park Project was initiated in June 2022 to replace aging irrigation lines and planting of fescue grasses. To ensure adequate establishment of the landscaping, the park and trail system have remained closed with temporary fencing in place to help protect the topsoil, grass seed, and sod. Residents are asked to respect the closure to help ensure the success of the upgrades and to protect the City’s investment in the park.
