Moose Recreation Centre reopening October 17

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat will reopen the Moose Recreation Centre to the public on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022.

“The rink required some pretty substantial renovations in order to safely reopen to the public,” said James Will, Director of the Parks & Recreation Department. “The concrete slab has been replaced and the new rink boards are now in. We can’t wait to have our local skaters take to the ice once more.”

Staff will be in contact with recreation associations who can expect adjustments to their November schedules. Ice time is available to rent between Monday and the end of October by calling 403-502-8745 or visiting www.medicinehat.ca/facilitybooking.

There are also opportunities to go public skating at the Moose after Monday. View the skating schedule at www.medicinehat.ca/skating.

In December 2021, Council voted to support the necessary funding required to reopen the facility to the public.

The City of Medicine Hat wishes to thank the community for their patience and understanding over the last number of months during the construction of these necessary upgrades.
