Community grants and microgrants accepting applications

The City is now accepting application for it's 'Community Vibrancy Grant' and 'Community Microgrants' program.
  • The purpose of the Community Vibrancy Grant is to provide funding for projects that promote vibrancy, energy, belonging and enthusiasm in the community of Medicine Hat.
  • The Community Microgrants aim to strengthen community bonds by supporting diverse local gatherings and activities that promote a sense of connection among residents and neighborhoods.

Energy rates, simplified

In 2024, residential customers will benefit from the simplicity of a single interim rate for both natural gas and electricity. Read more about the January rates in the news release link below.

Recycle your Christmas tree

Did you have a real Christmas tree this year? Make sure it doesn't end up in the landfill! 

Before recycling your tree, please ensure all lights, tinsel, decorations, and bags are removed. You can then take your tree to one of our designated locations, available until January 31.
