Saamis Solar Park: an option, not an obligation

This week’s Municipal Matters article in our local newspaper outlined the current status of the Saamis Solar Park project and where we go from here. One of the most critical points is that there are a number of milestones yet to achieve, which will come forward in an open setting for Council decision, in order to proceed forward. Ownership provides the option, but not the obligation, to build the project. We think you’ll find it an interesting read.

The words "That's Neat" over a cyan blue background

It’s a bird… it’s a plane… it’s CF-188 Hornet training!

Our friends in National Defence/Canadian Armed Forces keep us well informed whenever something out of the ordinary will be evident to residents in our community so that we can accurately answer any inquiries.

Since this one will be quite fun to see, we thought you should know!

CF-188 Hornets from 410 Tactical Fighter Operational Training Squadron based in Cold Lake, AB, will be conducting routine dry training over the CFB Suffield Range Training Area, March 13-17, 2025 during daytime hours.

The aircraft will be approaching from Calgary and citizens along the flightpath may observe routine aerial movements while in transit to the range training area. Citizens may further notice specific training as pilots practice tactical maneuvers above the range training area located approximately 50km NW of Medicine Hat. No live munitions will be used during the training.

That’s neat!
