Medicine Hat - Electrical Crews continue to work on recovery and restoration today following the major windstorm of Tuesday night. The priority during restoration work is to make sure areas are safe, for both the public and for workers.
Residents are asked to report any suspected electrical issues or safety hazards immediately. These may be leaning poles, strange noise or downed lines. Remain a safe distance of 10 meters or more from these issues and call the Electrical Emergency Line at 403-529-8260.
At the end of the day yesterday, all feeders were restored. However, some people are still without power in locations around the City and crews are working to get to each of these locations as soon as possible.
If you are still without power, the City asks that you call the Electrical Emergency Line at 403-529-8260 to double-check that you are on the list. Crews will respond as soon as possible.
The City continues to clean up areas today and address electrical restoration, with the help of outside resources. Please give crews the space they need to work safely.
Thank you for your patience as we work together to deal with the aftermath of the wind storm.
