Old Cemetery Road hill re-opening; Division Avenue construction progresses
Back to SearchMedicine Hat – Old Cemetery Road hill will re-open to motorists by Sunday, September 1 as construction progresses on the Division Avenue South Rehabilitation project. Once open, motorists will be able to access Division Avenue S up to and including the intersection of 12 Street SW.
The next phase of construction on this project will include the rehabilitation of multi-use trail infrastructure, curb and gutter, as well as the asphalt surface on Division Avenue S from 12 Street SW to 10 Street SE. This section of Division Avenue S will close on Sunday to maintain a safe work zone for the contactors. Traffic detours will be installed, followed by construction activities. Local traffic will be permitted to access the local businesses in the area at the 10 Street SE intersection.
Weather permitting, this phase of the Division Avenue South Rehabilitation project will be completed by the end of September.
Traffic detours will be in effect and will change as the active construction zone progresses on this project. Motorists are reminded to obey all posted signs, speed limits and detours for the safety of travellers and crews.
