'OpporTOURnity Medicine Hat' highlights city's potential

Medicine Hat Economic Development hosted 23 investment attraction professionals for an event called OpporTOURnity Medicine Hat. The purpose was to showcase the city's value proposition, growth potential, and raise its profile within the investment community.
The day-and-a-half event included several activities that gave the delegates a taste of the local business environment. An evening social mixer at the Whiskey District allowed the delegates to mingle with local business leaders and regional partners. The next morning, a breakfast and city tour on the Sunshine Trolley bus, hosted by Tourism Medicine Hat, provided an overview of the city's geography and cultural history.

At the Esplanade, Medicine Hat Economic Development and senior leaders from utilities, land, and planning departments presented the city's value proposition and reasons to invest. This was followed by an open networking event with regional partners, reinforcing the support available for growing the local economy.
The highlight was a lunch with Premier Danielle Smith, who praised Medicine Hat's economic development team as the best in the province and touted the city as an ideal investment destination. The afternoon featured engaging industry tours of Methanex and UVAD, showcasing the city's strengths in petrochemical manufacturing and drone technology.
