Park Buildings Roof Replacements
Medicine Hat – Beginning Monday, May 28, 2018 and continuing throughout the summer, roof replacements will be occurring at various locations in Strathcona Island Park, the Gas City Campground, and Echo Dale Regional Park. The schedule is dependent on weather, scope and size of each location.
The estimated schedule is as follows:
- Strathcona Island Park - picnic shelters and washroom – week of May 28 to June 1
- Gas City Campground - office building – June 4 to June 29
- Echo Dale Regional Park - east side washrooms & boat hut – July 3 to end of July
- Strathcona Island Park - Heritage Pavilion Building – 2-3 weeks in August (dates TBD)
- Echo Dale Regional Park – swim centre – after the September long weekend
The public is advised to obey all signage in the area and to remain a safe distance from construction activities. While we anticipate minimal disruption during these times, it may require that some facilities are temporarily closed during construction times.
The Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
