Public invited to join focus group for Arts, Heritage, and Entertainment Plan
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat has begun putting its Arts, Heritage, and Entertainment Plan (AHEP) in action. The AHEP provides a framework for all cultural providers to work towards a common goal. The first step in this multi-year plan involves community collaboration and the formation of an implementation focus group.
The City is seeking community members interested in participating in this focus group to assist in developing an implementation strategy for the AHEP.
“After actively engaging with the community during the creation of the plan, we are pleased to shift our efforts towards strengthening collaboration within the arts, heritage, and entertainment sectors,” said Aaron Nelson, Manager of Cultural Experiences and Events. “The engagement process brought valuable insight from a variety of unique perspectives. We’re excited to gain a fresh new perspective as we begin actioning the plan.”
The implementation-oriented focus group will consist of up to 12 members and will meet four times in 2025. Applicants will be asked to briefly highlight how they meet one of the available criteria. Applicants will then be selected to ensure multiple community perspectives are represented.
