Snow removal operations set to begin

Medicine Hat – Starting Sunday, Dec. 18 at 10 p.m., night-time snow removal will begin in the downtown area and continue through the week in the Hospital and Riverside areas. All schedules are weather dependent.

Snow removal is different than snow clearing in that it requires the snow to be graded (windrowed), loaded onto trucks and deposited at one of the designated snow disposal sites.

Where required, no-parking signs will be in place to allow crews to effectively remove snow from the city roads.
