South Flats Construction Update - Traffic Accommodation Change
Back to SearchWork on the South Railway Street – South Flats project continues.
Paving of the bottom lift asphalt will occur on May 17, 2018, in Stage 4 of the South Railway Street rehabilitation project from Allowance Avenue overpass to northwest of 7 Street SE intersection. The next phase of construction will be from northwest of 7 Street SE to the 8th Avenue intersection on South Railway Street.
Starting Tuesday May 22, 2018, the traffic on South Railway Street from Allowance Avenue overpass to Kingsway Avenue will be reduced to westbound one-way traffic only. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Kingsway Avenue SE and 9th Street SE back onto South Railway Street.
Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to obey all traffic signs/signals and drive safely around work crews. We would also like to thank everyone for your support and patience as we undertake this important project and would like to remind the public that access to all local businesses will be maintained.
