Trails Closed Along Seven Persons Creek
Medicine Hat – A number of City trails along Seven Persons Creek are being closed as a precautionary safety measure due to rising water levels.
The temporary trail closures include stretches adjacent to or over the Seven Persons Creek at:
Kin Coulee south tunnel
Dunmore Road
Scholten Hill
Highway 41A
Barricades will be in place to deter people from utilizing the trail until further notice.
St. Mary’s River Irrigation District announced efforts Tuesday to manage reservoir and waterway levels, including increasing flow from the Murray Reservoir. The Seven Persons Creek will likely see water levels near or at bankfull levels.
Residents are reminded to remain a safe distance from the banks of any waterways at this time and exercise caution.
