Transit adjusts Route 61 at Medicine Hat College

Medicine Hat – Beginning Monday, September 27, Medicine Hat Transit will introduce a route adjustment to Route 61 (Southridge).

The adjustment to service will remove the stop from outside of Medicine Hat College. Instead, riders will board the bus from the stop at College Avenue SE and College Drive.

“This route sees very little traffic directly from the college,” said Mike Spicer, manager of Transit Services. “We first introduced this adjustment as a pilot project in 2020. We brought service back prior to students returning to classes this fall, but direct ridership remains low.”

Route 46 (Southview – College) will continue to offer direct service at the college stop.
