Payment

Booking types

• Payment is due to book single or short-term bookings.
• User groups with weekly bookings will be invoiced at the end of each month. Please make payment before the due date to avoid interest charges.
• Approved tournaments and special events will receive a booking permit. New events payment upon booking is required, annual events will be invoiced.

3. Payments for monthly invoices are payable to the City of Medicine Hat, 580 First St SE, Medicine Hat, AB T1A 8E6.

Cancellations

• Groups or individuals booking 'Parks and Recreation' facilities for sporting or family events will pay 100% of the cancelled booking when 7 days or less notice is given for the cancellation. 
• Groups or individuals booking 'Parks and Recreation' facilities for sporting or family events will pay 50% of the canceled booking when 8 to 15 days notice is given and that booking will be removed from their allocation at the time of cancellation in order for the City to try and re-allocate space. 
• Sporting Event/Tournaments or Special event cancellations will be required to give 2 months' notice or 60 days of the cancellation. Amendments to the event must be received no later than 30 days ahead of the event to not be charged the original cost of the event booking. 

Rules for use

• The Facility Operator on site has full authority to manage the facility.
• Users must get on the ice at their designated time, and leave the ice when their time is up.
• Please empty dressing rooms within half an hour following your booking.
• Users are responsible to leave their dressing rooms in a clean and acceptable manner.
• The City of Medicine Hat will not be responsible for the loss or theft of any personal property.
• Users are responsible for the conduct of all participants, officials, spectators, and others associated with the activity. Users may be charged any costs pertaining to damages that occur related to their program.
• Users must assure that participants wear appropriate safety attire.
• A 15-minute time allotment is scheduled for all flood times. For your safety please stay off the ice during this time.
• The City of Medicine Hat reserves the right to postpone or reschedule any activity due to justified circumstances and will provide as much notice as possible. Special Events may interrupt regularly scheduled programs; your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
• Glass containers are not permitted in facilities.
• Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the City facilities. In designated areas only, a valid alcohol permit and host liquor liability insurance is required.
• Advertising cannot be displayed without the written consent of the City of Medicine Hat.
• Structural changes and modifications to the facility must be approved by the City of Medicine Hat.
• Cancellations or amendments must be received at least 5 working days in advance of the rental date. Failure to do so will result in the renter being charged the full cost of the rental.
