ACDI - Working toward Inclusion for all

About the Committee:

The primary purpose of the Advisory Committee on Disability Issues (ACDI) is to advise City Council and all City departments on issues related to persons with physical, developmental and mental health disabilities. A secondary purpose is to advocate on behalf of persons with disabilities to other authorities which formulate policy and/or offer programs that affect people with disabilities. ACDI recognizes both visible and invisible disabilities.

ACDI is a Standing Advisory Committee of, and reports to, the Social Development Advisory Board (SDAB), which in turn reports to the Public Services Committee (PSC). The Public Services Committee is a Standing Committee of City Council.

The Advisory Committee on Disability Issues normally meets the first Wednesday of each month, from 11:15 am to 1:00 pm, in City Hall Board Room M-1 (Main Floor). Please contact Leslie Jerry at lesjer@medicinehat.ca or call 403-502-8086 to confirm.
