THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK!
Brier Run is the land adjacent to and surrounding the Family Leisure Centre (FLC). Brier Run will be a community centered around the promotion of an active-living lifestyle. It will contain a mix of residential, commercial and industrial uses, with approximately 50% of the community being dedicated to recreational uses.
Thank you for providing feedback on the Brier Run Survey. The survey is now closed, and the draw winners have picked up their prizes.
This essentially completes the initial engagement process. We are in the process of compiling a summary of all inputs received. With nearly 500 survey respondents plus individual responses, this process will take a few weeks. During this time, Land & Business Support will also be undertaking stakeholder engagement with City operating departments and other parties to help set broad parameters for the design.
Once all that is done, design will commence on development concepts for Brier Run. This process will also take time to complete as there is a balance between desired design requirements and constraints related to engineering, infrastructure and similar items.
As had been identified during the Open Houses and on the Brier Run website, we are fully committed to returning to the community with a What We Heard forum. This forum will summarize the various inputs and responses that have been collected and then present preferred design concepts.
As of today, that is where the process is at.
