Riverside Overland Flow Protection Strategy is designed to protect the residential community of Riverside along Parkview Drive and 1st Street NE/NW from overland flooding during high flow events on the South Saskatchewan River. The project is currenlty in the preliminary design phase. There is an added level of complexity to the project given the proximity of private residences to the rivers bank. The land south of 1st Street NE/SW is owned by the adjacent property owner and thus nogotiations with the land owners are required.
