Spring 2019 Road Safety Poster Contest

This contest is open to residents of Medicine Hat and surrounding communities! 

Young Artist Poster Competition Aims at Road Safety (News Release)

  • The City is seeking young artists with creativity and passion to submit posters that help make roads safer! This poster contest focuses on road safety just in time for summer vacation.
  • Winning submissions will receive a $100 gift card and will see their posters used to inspire people to obey the rules and keep everyone safe during the summer holidays. Other prizes will be distributed by random draw.
  • Posters and official entry forms are being distributed to local schools and recreation centres.
  • Aspiring artists of all ages are encouraged to choose a theme listed on the posters, or come up with your own special message to promote road safety. Scroll down to read more about Road Safety themes.

Entries in each age group will be judged according to:

  • Creativity, fun, colour or drama of the poster
  • Artwork that illustrates the message or theme
  • Winners in each age group will receive a $100 gift card
  • Other prizes by random draw
