The Gas City Campground is located in the City of Medicine Hat off the Trans Canada Highway and 7th Street SW. It is a 97 site campground operated by the Parks & Recreation Department.

The Gas City Campground in Medicine Hat, AB is now open for the camping season from June 1 to October 12, 2020.
The campground office is open daily from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm until September 30.
To ensure the safety of our visitors and staff, we will be following the guidelines and regulations, in accordance with public health guidance from Alberta Health. Please see COVID-19 Information page for all updates.

Due to the higher volume of reservation requests, all inquiries will be processed based on the order we receive them and the availability. To secure your dates quicker, you may wish to reserve your site online.
Fees & Reservations
Full payment by MasterCard or VISA will be required at time of reservation.
We offer full service, power and water, power only and non-serviced sites for reservation.
Due to the COVID-19 regulations, not all amenities are available.
Please remember AHS guidelines and physical distancing are still in effect.
As of July 17, 2020 the following are open:
- Flush toilets
- Off-leash dog run
- Store - wood and ice available, and limited store items
- Nearby trails
- Echo Dale Regional Park (6 km via trail or driving) trail and swimming lake are open
- Updated wireless internet throughout the campground
- Visitors are allowed
- Kitchen Community shelter
The laundry facilities remain closed at this time.
Please note, Parks and Recreation, in consultation with the Medicine Hat Fire Service, urge everyone to use precautions when using public fire pits located throughout the City parks. We would like to remind residents that it is their responsibility to fully extinguish fires when done, keep fires low, and use clean, dry wood.
