Updates: COVID-19 Response

MARCH 22, 2020 13:00 hrs: Registration Day Postponed

The March 24 registration day for summer programs at the Family Leisure Centre, Crestwood Rec Centre and outdoor pools is postponed until further notice due to COVID-19. This decision was made to allow time for more clear instruction to emerge from Alberta Health Services during this challenging event.

MARCH 18, 2020 13:00 hrs: Passholder Information

We appreciate your patience as we worked through the details in order to appropriately credit pass holders at the Family Leisure Centre and Crestwood Recreation Centre while the facilities are closed from the current pandemic situation. The following plan has been put in place, and processing has already begun:

  • 31-Day Passes (one-time paid passes):
Those with a current 31-day pass will receive a prorated refund as credit to your account for the days remaining on your pass as of March 16, 2020.
  • Continuous Passes (paid monthly indefinitely):
Those with continuous monthly passes with automatic withdrawals will receive a full refund of payments that were taken on March 1 and March 15. Refunds will go to the original method of payment (i.e. credit card or Electronic Funds Transfer). These transactions may take up to 15 days to show in your account, so please be patient as the merchant and facility programs catch up.

Payments that are scheduled to come out on April 1 will be cancelled, at which time we will re-evaluate the current state of affairs to determine future payments.
  • Annual Passes (one-time paid passes):
Passes that are paid in full for one year are now frozen as of March 16, 2020. They will be reactivated when the facilities reopen and will be extended for the same number of days the facility remained closed.
