No; since the fees are based on the costs of reviewing a business license application and issuing a license, once the costs have been incurred there is no basis on which to provide a refund.

The average timeframe to get a business license approval is 2-3 business days. However, other required approvals may require 2-3 weeks to process.

In rare circumstances, approval may take a month or more, in case the application must be reviewed by the Municipal Planning Commission.

One year after the date when you originally were issued the license. Renewal invoices are automatically mailed to licensed businesses 30 days before the renewal is due. You may receive a reminder phone call if your renewal is past due. You may be issued a ticket if your renewal continues to lapse past the due date.

If you plan to change your business location, you must notify Planning & Development Services before the move occurs. Depending on the type of business and intended location, it may be a simple administrative change, or it may require a review to determine if your type of business activity is permitted in the area.
