    • Parking lots - To arrange a monthly parking permit call the parking hotline at 403-529-8318. Please note that in order to use designated accessible parking spaces, you must have your accessible parking permit visible.
    • Street parking Accessible 2 hour on-street parking is available throughout downtown including 2 spots immediately outside of City Hall on 1 Street SE (JPG) and another 2 spots just off Finlay Bridge on 6 Avenue SE (JPG)

    • City Hall Accessible and public parking is available free of charge while doing business in City Hall. There are 2 high van parking spaces (JPG) available as well as 2 accessible parking spaces available near the elevators (JPG). In addition there are 32 public parking spaces 6 of which are tall clearance stalls.


  • Adjustable counters – (video) Our service counters throughout City Hall adjust up and down to serve citizens at the height that is comfortable for you.

    • Customer Service and Collections - Our customer service staff are a wealth of information and can assist with questions related to utilities, taxation, accounts receivable. They can also assist with signing on or off utilities, printing statements and setting up payment arrangements.
    • Cashiers - Our friendly staff are able to receive your payments for utilities, taxes, accounts receivable, parking tickets, dog and cat licenses, and downtown parking passes.
    • Council Chambers - The public is welcome in Council Chambers and accessible seating is available on the upper level of the gallery. This seating can be accessed off the main floor hallway. For citizens making presentations to Council, accessible seating is also available on the Council floor. This seating can either be accessed from the gallery stairs or by taking the elevator to the Lower level. Please refer to the Lower Level diagram (PDF).

    • Business Development - For new business inquiries and grants please call 403-502-8719 or visit this department.
    • Community and Social Development - Staff here can help with joint use gymnasium bookings, and a variety of grants including; recreation, community development and the municipal sustainability initiative. For more information call 403-529-8316.
    • Land and Properties - Talk to this team if you are purchasing residential or commercial lots from the City. This is also where to pick up your tree voucher for new residential lots developed by the City of Medicine Hat.
