Brian McNally made a lasting and meaningful impact on the swimming community through decades of dedicated coaching and service. He began coaching in 1960 with the Medicine Hat Ralston Swim Club and the Alberta Marlin Aquatic Swim Club, later serving as head coach from 1966 to 1971, where he helped shape the development of countless athletes. He continued his leadership as head coach of the Medicine Hat “Y” Otters Swim Club from 1973 to 1976, bringing experience, commitment, and passion to the program. Beyond coaching, Brian generously gave his time as a volunteer swimming official and played an important role in mentoring new officials, strengthening the sport at all levels. His contributions reflect a deep love of swimming and an enduring commitment to community and mentorship.

Description Started coaching swimming with the Medicine Hat Ralston Swim Club and Alberta Marlin Aquatic Swim Club in 1960 and was head coach 1966 to 1971. Was head coach of the Medicine Hat “Y” Otters Swim Club 1973 to 1976. Volunteer swimming official and mentored new officials. Note: This inductee was originally part of the community’s 'Wall of Fame' and was transferred to the 'Sports Wall of Fame' in 2010.
