Charles Peasley devoted more than four decades to nurturing youth through sport, leaving a remarkable legacy as an educator, coach, and mentor. From 1911 to 1955, he organized boys’ and girls’ school teams across a wide range of sports, ensuring students had opportunities to learn teamwork, discipline, and confidence. He shared his expertise by coaching intermediate and senior hockey, umpiring senior baseball, and supporting fair play both on and off the field. Charles also supervised children’s sports camps that introduced young participants to track and field, hiking, swimming, baseball, tennis, and skating, encouraging well‑rounded development and a lifelong love of physical activity. His dedication helped shape generations of young athletes and strengthened the community through sport.

Description As a teacher, organized boys and girls school teams for a variety of sports from 1911 - 1955. Coached intermediate and senior hockey and umpired senior baseball. Supervised children’s sports camps featuring track and field, hiking, swimming, baseball, tennis and skating. Please note: This inductee was originally part of the community’s 'Wall of Fame' and was transferred to the 'Sports Wall of Fame' in 2010.
