Dan Federkeil’s football career is a remarkable story of excellence, perseverance, and giving back to the game. He distinguished himself early, earning Rangeland Football Conference All‑Star honours in 2000, followed by second‑team CIS All‑Star selections in 2003 and 2005, and being named the Calgary Dinos’ Male Athlete of the Year in 2005. Dan went on to reach the sport’s highest stages, winning Super Bowl XLI as a member of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts in 2006 and later capturing the 102nd Grey Cup with the CFL’s Calgary Stampeders in 2014. Beyond his on‑field achievements, he has left a meaningful legacy in his community by establishing the Judith Louise Federkeil Memorial Football Award at Medicine Hat High School, inspiring and supporting future generations of student‑athletes.
