The Medicine Hat Hockey Hounds Association has been a cornerstone of hockey in Medicine Hat and the surrounding area for more than 50 years, dedicated to the promotion, development, and long‑term growth of the sport. Throughout its history, the Association has brought together more than 200 members whose passion and commitment have helped strengthen hockey at every level. Through fundraising and community support, the Hockey Hounds have distributed more than $2 million to advance the game locally, directly benefiting players, teams, and programs. The Association is also the organizing force behind the prestigious Hockey Hounds Major Bantam AAA Tournament, a premier event that has seen more than 700 players go on to be drafted by the Western Hockey League. Their lasting impact reflects a proud tradition of leadership, generosity, and excellence in developing young hockey talent.
