About Co-op Place
Co-op Place is Medicine Hat’s premier entertainment venue and home to the Western Hockey League's Medicine Hat Tigers. Located in the growing area of Box Springs Business Park, this state-of-the-art facility has seating for 7,000 people featuring 350 club seats, 22 suites, eight loge boxes, two community suites for public rental, and a lounge.
The Co-op Place team is dedicated to creating unique experiences that turn into memories and first-time visitors into loyal supporters. The event centre is proudly owned and managed by the City of Medicine Hat.

Certified Sensory Inclusive
In March 2025, Co-op Place obtained its KultureCity® Sensory Inclusive™ Certification.
KultureCity® is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to promoting inclusivity and accessibility for individuals with sensory needs. Their Sensory Inclusive™ program has been widely embraced by venues, stadiums, and cultural institutions across Canada and around the world. With this new certification, the Esplanade is now better prepared to assist guests with sensory sensitivities in having the most comfortable and accommodating experience possible when attending an event. Accessibility
Tickets for accessible seating can be purchased at the Co-op Place Box Office in person from Monday through Thursday from 12 to 4 p.m. or on online at tixx.ca. Subject to availability at the time of purchase, Co-op Place accessible seating is available to patrons with wheelchairs and one companion.
Concessions
Concession locations, food and beverage kiosks, and the bar are all accessible.
First Aid
Arris Medical Response provides first aid services for the public during all events.
Restrooms
There are 150 stalls at Co-op Place. There are numerous washrooms each with at least one accessible stall (some have two). There are also several family washrooms throughout the building.

Media Policies
Media Entrance
For all sporting and entertainment events, media must enter through the Security entrance on the east side of the building.
Credentials
All individuals with the intent to publish photographs, information or video from Co-op Place events through print or broadcast mediums are required to have the proper credentials.
Please email coopplace@medicinehat.ca with your written request stating your publication/TV station/radio station/website name no less than two weeks prior to the desired event. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval. You will be notified a minimum of one day before the event if you are approved.

Sponsorship and marketing opportunities at Co-op Place provide innovative ways to get your message and business in front of thousands of patrons that annually visit the facility.
