Rec & Ride Youth Pass

Our popular Rec & Ride Youth Pass returns for 2026! This collaborative summer program keeps youth active in our community.

This summer the program will run from June 26 to September 4 and grant access to Medicine Hat Transit, both YMCA locations, Big Marble Go Centre, Crestwood Rec Centre and our outdoor pools.

Passes go on sale at Big Marble Go Centre on Monday, June 15.

Youth aged 13-17 were eligible for a Rec & Ride Youth Pass. For $50, passholders were granted unlimited transit use, as well as entry to six total City and YMCA recreation facilities in Medicine Hat when valid:

  • Big Marble Go Centre
  • Crestwood Recreation Centre
  • Hill Pool
  • Strathcona Pool
  • Downtown YMCA
  • South Ridge YMCA

Rec & Ride Youth Passes were available to all youth, regardless of physical address - not just Medicine Hat residents. The City of Medicine Hat thanks the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta for its participation and collaboration in this partnership. The City will be looking to offer the Rec and Ride Youth Pass again in 2026, with an opportunity to enhance community partnerships and pass eligibility.
